Bichon Frise

The Bichon Frise is a cheerful, happy dog. It is small, sturdy, and has a dark-eyed, inquisitive expression. Its plumed tail is carried merrily over its back. Often compared to a cotton ball, the breed has a curled double coat. The outer coat is textured, while the undercoat is silky. The Bichon Frise’s coat must be white, with possible shadings of buff, cream, or apricot around the ears or body.

The Bichon Frise originated in the Mediterranean as far back as 300 B.C. This little dog once held the job of leader dog for the blind and circus performers prior to becoming the companion they are today.

Their coat color is white, may have shadings of buff, cream or apricot around the ears or on the body.

The Bichon Frise is gentle-mannered, sensitive, playful and affectionate. A cheerful attitude is the hallmark of the breed and one should settle for nothing less.
